“Do you know that up to 80% of dogs and 70% of cats are suffering from dental disease by the age of three? Not only does dental disease cause bad breath, loose teeth, bleeding of gums, pain and inappetence, it can also act as a source of infection for the rest of the body and make your pet seriously ill.

Most pets need several dental procedures throughout their lives.
We recommend your pet’s teeth to be examined every 6 months so that we can identify any dental issue and make a recommendation for treatment and management.

Dental X-rays are highly recommended with our dental procedures. This is because three quarters of the teeth are below the gumline and it is impossible to full assess the whole tooth including their roots without performing dental X-rays.

There are occasions that teeth are damaged or diseased and they are required to be extracted. Dogs and cats recover really well with extractions and we recommend soft food for about 7 days after extractions.

At Kenwick Vet, we believe prevention is always better than cure. That is why regular dental home care is essential to minimize ongoing dental disease. We provide a variety of dental care products to ensure your pet is kissable every single day.
